Utah Recipe Spotlight: Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler
Utah peaches are famous in late summer, especially from Brigham City and Payson. Here’s a simple Dutch oven recipe you can make on a camping trip or in your backyard.
Ingredients
2 large cans (29 oz) sliced peaches in syrup (or about 8–10 fresh Utah peaches, peeled and sliced)
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter (cut into thin slices)
1–2 tsp cinnamon
Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving
Instructions
Line your Dutch oven with foil for easy cleanup.
Pour peaches (with juice) evenly on the bottom.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the peaches — don’t stir.
Place slices of butter on top, covering as much surface as possible.
Sprinkle cinnamon over everything.
Cover with lid and bake using charcoal (8–10 briquettes under, 14–16 on top) for 30–40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
Cooking at home — especially with local produce — saves money and brings family together, turning everyday meals into moments.
Utah Traditions: Pioneer Day & Community
July 24th is Pioneer Day, one of Utah’s biggest celebrations. From parades and rodeos to fireworks across the valley, it’s a chance to celebrate heritage and community.
At Momentum Wealth, giving back to our community is part of who we are. Through our partnership with Make-A-Wish Utah, we’ve helped grant wishes to children facing critical illnesses, reminding us that community investment matters just as much as financial investment.
Living in Utah means being surrounded by beauty, community, and tradition. Our job is to help ensure your financial plan supports not only your retirement goals, but also the lifestyle you love today.
At Momentum Wealth, we call that living forward.
